There’s a reason Las Vegas is home to some of the world’s most high-profile events, conferences, and trade shows. Last year alone, the city welcomed nearly 6 million business travelers—many of whom added a leisure trip before or after their meeting or convention. In a city renowned for its event and hospitality industry, one company continues to stand at the forefront: MGM Resorts.

MGM Resorts’ prestigious portfolio of properties includes some of Las Vegas’ most iconic spaces, including the Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Bellagio, ARIA Resort & Casino, and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Business and leisure travelers alike flock to these destinations for their award-winning dining establishments, over four million square feet of flexible meeting space, multiple theaters and arenas, and unparalleled, best-in-class accommodations.

And MGM Resorts shows no sign of slowing down this year, opening a variety of headline-grabbing new spots for events and entertainment. Here’s where to go in 2024…

For a stylish stay:

Did you know that MGM Resorts boasts more than 40,000 sleeping rooms across its hotels? A standout option for 2024 is the newly remodeled rooms at MGM Grand’s 700-room Studio Tower, which draw inspiration from the mid-century design style of Palm Springs with a desert palette of fresh pinks and chartreuse greens. Guests will find rounded window seats, enlarged headboards, wood floors, and carefully chosen artwork that accentuates the sculptural furnishings. Each guest bathroom features stylish, space-saving barn doors, wood flooring, a backlit vanity, marble shower floors, and all-new chrome fixtures. MGM Grand’s Studio TowerMGM Grand’s Studio TowerPhoto: Courtesy of MGM Resorts

New York-New York also wrapped up a $63-million redesign and remodel of its 1,830 guest rooms and 155 suites last summer, adding modern conveniences like moveable work surfaces, USB/USB-C power outlets, and extra closet space and shelving. Bellagio, meanwhile, unveiled a $100 million renovation to the 819 rooms and 104 suites in its Spa Tower, incorporating a contemporary design inspired by the beauty of Italy’s Lake Como.

To get business done:

Mandalay Bay Convention Center recently completed a $100 million refresh. The 2.1 million-square-foot convention center—the fifth largest in the U.S.—has seen significant technology upgrades, including 11 new dynamic digital walls designed for brand placements, sponsorship opportunities, and targeted event messaging throughout the day. There are also refillable water stations all around the property, cutting unnecessary plastic usage from single-use bottles.

The convention center also received a modern design refresh, with bold floral patterns featuring cerulean and coral tones that will be accentuated by warm walnut accent walls, providing a tropical landscape for a meeting experience only Mandalay Bay can offer. Plus, as part of MGM Resorts' commitment to providing a platform for diverse and underrepresented artists, the remodeled convention space features breathtaking new works by Thandiwe Muriu and Sarah Anne Johnson, among others.

To enhance meetings with exceptional meals:

MGM Resorts properties have a slew of exciting new dining options. At The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the stunning new LPM Restaurant & Bar features Mediterranean-style dishes, plus a cocktail menu inspired by the life of French artist Jean Cocteau. Greeted by bold colors and striking art, guests will embark on an adventure through the French Riviera with a light, imaginative menu of delicate intensity—a journey exploring the essential joy of Mediterranean ingredients at their peak.

New at Mandalay Bay, meanwhile, is ORLA by Chef Michael Mina. The restaurant draws inspiration from the award-winning chef’s childhood in Egypt, with flavors and decor that evoke the spices found in markets common to coastal Mediterranean towns. The gorgeous dining room is accented by two large olive trees and dramatic vaulted ceilings. ORLA by Chef Michael MinaORLA by Chef Michael MinaPhoto: MGM Resorts

Another standout spot from a celebrity chef is Carama by Chef Wolfgang Puck, also new at Mandalay Bay. The buzzy restaurant is inspired by a vintage photo of the renowned chef and his mother, Maria, in their Austrian garden; Puck honors her with a letter printed on the back of every menu, plus a menu of authentic Italian cuisine, an extensive wine list and a wide variety of pasta dishes. Another highlight? A salumeria in the middle of the dining room!

And down the street at the MGM Grand is the new Luchini Italian Restaurant, a refreshing take on a classic Italian-American restaurant inspired by the flavors of New York. Look for handmade pasta, pizzas, salads, and timeless dishes served in a welcoming and lively space—and don’t miss the adjacent pizza-by-the-slice shop or the Chez Bippy speakeasy, sure to please a late-night crowd!

For after-hours team bonding:

What’s a trip to Las Vegas without some after-hours fun? Don’t miss The Pinky Ring by Bruno Mars, a modern luxury lounge at Bellagio featuring a seductive party vibe, offering a curated collection of premium cocktails plus live entertainment by some of today’s most talented musicians and DJs. The Vault at BellagioThe Vault at BellagioPhoto: Courtesy of MGM Resorts

Another must-visit for VIPs is the ultra-exclusive new cocktail club The Vault, a secret bar set off the casino floor at Bellagio. There are no reservations or markings on the door—but once guests make it inside, they’ll find a one-of-a-kind menu of specialty cocktails, plus a complimentary aperitif and an amuse-bouche of elevated bar snacks.

Opening in fall 2024 is the truly unique, adults-only mini golf club Swingers at Mandalay Bay. Guests will be transported to a 1920s English country house with gorgeous, event-friendly grounds featuring five crazy golf courses, cocktail bars serving signature drinks, gourmet street food, and live DJs.

Las Vegas continues to be an ideal location for hosting all aspects of a meeting, with MGM Resorts leading the charge—and 2024 promises to be the most exciting year yet. From state-of-the-art meeting spaces to dynamic dining and entertainment options, MGM Resorts offers a spectacular canvas on which every business traveler can paint their perfect stay.
