Here's a closer look at Phoenix/Scottsdale's newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms, and other spaces available for events this spring. The new and renovated Phoenix/Scottsdale venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.
Taliesin West

At Taliesin West, planners can host events at a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The gorgeous property was originally Frank Lloyd Wright’s desert home and studio, and several areas are now available for events. The newest space, The Pergola (pictured), was once a central passageway but reopened in January as an outdoor venue with capacity for as many as 100 guests for seated receptions or cocktail-style events. Five additional rooms can accommodate anywhere from 13 to 350 guests.

Caesars Republic Scottsdale

March brought the debut of Caesars Republic Scottsdale, the brand’s first nongaming hotel. Located in Fashion Square, the 11-story property encompasses 265 rooms with coveted features like floor-to-ceiling windows and 4K smart TVs. The new build boasts 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 7,000-square-foot ballroom—which opens up onto one of the hotel’s two swimming pools—with capacity for 1,500 guests for cocktail receptions, as well as a boardroom that seats 12. Two on-site dining concepts can also host groups: Luna by Giada, which serves Italian fare, and rooftop bar and lounge SEVEN.

Sky Rock Sedona

Set against the famed Sedona Red Rocks, Sky Rock Sedona converted to a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in February. With the rebrand came a slew of updates to the 109-room property, which embraces Sedona’s unique energy with details like an amethyst-filled wall, a twisted vortex tree, an on-call pet psychic, an energy room, a yoga deck, and sound baths. The hotel’s staff can curate specific group experiences, from adventure and exploration to relaxation, in and around the area. Set on a terrace with panoramic views of the surrounding beauty, the on-site Bar WooWoo can host groups for Southwestern-inspired tapas, local beer and wine, and handcrafted cocktails.

The Scottsdale Resort & Spa

Now part of Curio Collection by Hilton, The Scottsdale Resort & Spa unveiled the first half of a massive renovation in January, including the debut of four new dining outlets on property. Its signature restaurant, La Fogata, highlights Southwestern cuisine and local ingredients, while The Madam feels like a 1920s-era speakeasy. The Social Boardroom offers a casual spot for guests of all ages, and the upscale Barnaby’s Café & Wine Bar (pictured) serves a wellness-focused menu. Other changes include the conversion of the Stillman Building into 12 two-story luxury villas. Overall, the conference-centric hotel spans nearly 17 acres and encompasses 278 residential-style guest rooms.

The Garden at The Hermosa Inn

The Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley completed a renovation of its outdoor event space in October 2023. The exquisite, upscale venue can accommodate as many as 60 guests for seated or cocktail-style events in a photo-worthy setting complete with botanicals, pergolas, two fire pits, and a waterfall fountain. For overnight guests, the resort features 43 luxury casitas decorated in classic Southwest style, many of which boast soaking tubs, private patios, and fireplaces. Guests can dine at LON’s at The Hermosa Inn, a globally inspired restaurant with its own subterranean wine cellar and outdoor patio.

Village Camp Flagstaff

For events with a rustic, unpretentious feel, Village Camp Flagstaff opened last spring. An ideal spot for off-site glamping retreats in the great outdoors, the property is equipped with an expansive clubhouse, a bistro and bar, an outdoor amphitheater, an event lawn, and a resort-style pool—though the main draw is the breathtaking mountain scenery. In total, 35 cabins are available, with space for 220 guests at maximum capacity. The resort also offers a calendar packed with activities, though options can be arranged for private groups.

Uchi

Helmed by a James Beard Award-winning chef, Uchi opened its first Arizona outpost in January. The high-end Japanese restaurant offers an elevated dining experience, with eye-catching decor details like a sculptural wood ceiling, original art, and custom tables and seating. The menu rotates daily, with standout dishes like grilled lamb with smoked kabocha puree, wagyu carpaccio, or pork belly katsu, along with multiple options for chef’s tastings. Spanning 5,646 square feet, the venue seats 136 in the dining room, 14 at the sushi bar, 21 at the bar, and 36 on the outdoor patio.

The Mission Old Town

The Mission in Old Town Scottsdale debuted its newly revamped back patio in December 2023. The space, which seats as many as 64 guests, now includes a white steel roof and air conditioning, making it usable no matter the weather. The update also includes new landscaping and lighting to set the scene for a sophisticated, memorable experience. Planners can choose a la carte or family-style meals with Mexican-inspired dishes like Tecate-marinated mahi-mahi tacos, crispy pork belly, and duck empanadas.

Santo Arcadia

January brought the opening of Santo Arcadia, an upscale restaurant focusing on Northern Mexican cuisine. Guests can savor dishes like seasonal ceviche, grilled mackerel with seafood dirty rice and tomatillo salsa, and lightly fried hamachi collars with chipotle glaze. The venue measures 7,500 square feet, with 120 seats in the main dining room. Planners can host smaller groups in the 20-seat Paloma private dining room; the 50-seat Aria event space that opens up to a brick patio; and the Pecado cocktail lounge, which features seating for 30 between the bar and sofas.
