Here's a closer look at Phoenix/Scottsdale's newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms, and other spaces available for events this fall. The new and renovated Phoenix/Scottsdale venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.
The Global Ambassador

The Global Ambassador will make its debut at the base of Camelback Mountain in Arcadia this November. The 141-room luxury hotel is part of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection, and each guest room in the high-style property features refined touches like oak hardwood flooring, custom walnut millwork, a private balcony with scenic views, and a curated art selection. Elsewhere on site, guests can enjoy an ultra-luxe wellness center and spa, along with world-class dining at five food and beverage outlets. A variety of spaces throughout the hotel are available for events, including the 4,600-square-foot Pavilion, which accommodates up to 350 guests for indoor-outdoor cocktail receptions and 320 for seated banquets; a 6,700-square-foot poolside restaurant that fits 350 guests for cocktail parties and 220 for seated dinners; and two wellness terraces measuring 2,300 and 1,400 square feet, respectively.

Elliott’s Steakhouse

Elliott’s Steakhouse opened in downtown Chandler in August. The space, which served as the one-time home to the historic Rowena Theatre movie theater, dates back to 1912. Spanning 6,500 square feet, the restaurant can accommodate as many as 160 guests, including a 1,000-square-foot private dining room that seats 35. On the menu, guests will find sumptuous fare like a variety of steaks and chops, a raw bar, seafood, poultry, and pasta. The restaurant also features an impressive 130-bottle wine list.

Moxy Phoenix Midtown

Opening in December, Moxy Phoenix Midtown will bring a hip new hotel and social gathering spot to the city. The vibe here is fun and funky, with colorful decor and a lobby stocked with games. The 164-room property features an 844-square-foot space that seats six and accommodates 30 for cocktail-style events. A 178-square-foot boardroom is also available for intimate meetings.

Pedal Haus Brewery

The original outpost of Pedal Haus Brewery underwent a major renovation in July. The brewing operation moved to Chandler, opening up space for 50 additional seats in Tempe. Outside, a 1,500-square-foot patio features a performance space for live music. The venue can seat as many as 400 guests in total.

Moxies

Moxies opened its first Arizona location at Scottsdale Fashion Square in August. Exuding an upscale vibe with lush indoor greenery, gold fixtures, and eye-catching wallpaper, the concept offers a friendly approach to high-end dining. On the menu, guests will find globally inspired dishes like red Thai curry bowls, mango chipotle chicken, and steak frites. The indoor-outdoor venue spans 12,000 square feet, with seating for 350 total. Smaller groups can reserve the 120-seat lounge, the 75-seat dining room, and the 120-seat outdoor patio that’s equipped with shade and misters or heaters and fire tables, depending on the season. All spaces boast screens and AV hookups.

Sugar Factory American Brasserie

Sugar Factory American Brasserie opened its first Arizona location in Glendale in July. The indoor-outdoor venue features a restaurant, bar, and candy store. The decor is ripe for photo ops and social media, with features like a floor-to-ceiling candy wall, neon signage, an elaborate floral ceiling, and lots more. While the menu includes a wide range of savory dishes, the main draw here is the over-the-top, indulgent sweets like salted caramel pretzel pancakes, cookies and cream iced coffee (topped with a waffle), and s’mores brownie milkshakes served in chocolate-coated mugs. Spanning 9,400 square feet, the interior seats 128 in the main dining room, 18 in the private dining room, and 26 at the bar. A 1,275-square-foot patio seats 40.

Hangar 7

Hangar 7, an airplane hangar in Scottsdale, becomes available for events in December. Measuring 7,315 square feet inside, with a 6,650-square-foot adjacent outdoor space, the venue is a blank canvas for events of all kinds. Cavernous ceilings and state-of-the-art production and AV capabilities make the hangar a viable option for highly produced events.

Industrious Midtown Phoenix

Coworking chain Industrious will open an outpost in Midtown Phoenix in December. Taking a midcentury-modern approach to coworking, the space is thoughtfully appointed and offers seven conference rooms that can be reserved for groups. In total, the space spans 21,000 square feet, and all spaces are equipped with whiteboards and high-tech AV capabilities.
