As Labor Day (and the unofficial end of summer) draws near, here’s a look back at some of the coolest events, brand activations, and pop-ups that happened in the Hamptons social scene...
Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa x Dolce & Gabbana

This summer, Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is collaborating with Dolce & Gabbana for its first-ever beachfront takeover in the U.S. Hotel guests and locals can experience a lavish oceanfront experience infused with Dolce & Gabbana's signature style. The hotel’s Beach Club and East Deck have been transformed into a glamorous Mediterranean oasis with umbrellas, cabanas, beach chairs, and linens in vibrant azure blue and crisp white from the brand’s Blu Mediterraneo pattern.

The property is also home to a retail store featuring Dolce & Gabbana including a special selection of ready-to-wear brand apparel, beach essentials, candles, and exclusive beach towels.

Rosewood Mayakoba’s Topping Rose House Takeover

Rosewood Mayakoba returned to the Hamptons this summer for a weekend experience at Topping Rose House in July, bringing with it the spirit and flavors of its Mexican Caribbean locale. This was the third year in the Hamptons for the property and its second appearance at Topping Rose House. The two-day pop-up featured a multicourse dining menu, cocktails from Zapote Bar (which was recently ranked No. 11 at the North America 50 Best Bar Awards), and a tropics-inspired design takeover.

Guests enjoyed a mix of signature dishes from Rosewood Mayakoba’s beach clubs and restaurants—La Cantina at Aquí Me Quedo, Punta Bonita, and Zapote Bar—including shrimp tacos, sweet and spicy ceviche, fried fish with corn ribs, and rice pudding brulee.

Brunello Cucinelli and Wölffer Estate Dinner

On Aug. 1, Brunello Cucinelli and Wölffer Estate hosted a dinner at the Wölffer Residence in Sagaponack to celebrate the summer season. The evening was hosted by Brunello Cucinelli’s president and CEO of North America, Massimo Caronna, and his wife, Natasha Caronna, along with Wölffer Estate’s chief brand officer and co-owner, Joey Wölffer, and her husband and CEO, Max Rohn. Guests enjoyed poolside cocktails followed by a five-course meal complete with wine pairings and a DJ set by Alix Brown.

Kiehl’s Out East

In July, as part of a consumer activation, Kiehl’s took a vintage yellow taxicab that was customized with East Village-inspired graffiti decor and surfboards on the road. It was parked outside various Montauk hot spots throughout the weekend of July 27-28, including Bounce Beach Montauk and SoulCycle, offering product samples, merch, and photo opportunities.

Throughout the weekend, branded yellow beach cruisers stopped by spots like Joni’s, Hampton Coffee Company, and Ditch Plains Beach. Those who spotted the cruiser received sample-sized Better Screen SPF packets and exclusive merchandise.

At Bounce Beach Montauk, consumers were invited to capture photos with the Kiehl’s taxicab and pose with a branded surfboard. The stop also included a performance by up-and-coming country singer Shaboozey.

At Joni’s Kitchen Montauk, Kiehl’s offered a limited-edition GlowBetter smoothie, inspired by the Better Screen SPF. Customers received a full-size Better Screen SPF 50+ along with Kiehl’s merchandise and additional product samples.

NYLON Nights Fire & Ice Party at The Surf Lodge

On July 4, NYLON and The Surf Lodge hosted the first event of their new party series, NYLON Nights Fire & Ice. The celebration featured DJ sets by Natasha Bedingfield, Diplo, Tinx & Lucas, and Riordan, as well as a live performance from Bedingfield.

Throughout the night, partygoers enjoyed craft cocktails and an interactive photo moment by Breathless Resorts & Spas. Attendees were also gifted items from HEYDUDE shoes, and Sally Hansen provided manicures along with sweet treats from a Sally Hansen x Ralph’s ice cream cart.

New York x Sparkling Ice

Sparkling Ice took over The Montauk Beach House all summer long with sampling opportunities for hotel guests and visitors, in addition to in-room product integration, specialty poolside offerings, and a revolving menu of specialty cocktails. On July 13, the brand partnered with New York magazine to host an event at the hotel that featured Sparkling Ice cocktails, complimentary bites served from a restored RV, photo moments, lawn games, and more. The event culminated with a performance from The Knocks.

New York also partnered with the Hampton Jitney in July, offering Sparkling Ice-branded buses plus a dedicated charter bus to transport about 50 NYC locals to Montauk to attend the event.

FRESCA Mixed Club Happy Hour

FRESCA Mixed celebrated the launch of its FRESCA Mixed Fancy Ice Kits with brand partner Andy Cohen in Montauk on July 1. The brand, along with Cohen, hosted fans and fellow members of the newly launched FRESCA Mixed Club, a members-only virtual country club that unlocks free experiences and benefits.

Wölffer Estate Vineyard x Tieghan Gerard Half Baked’s Summer Harvest Dinner

Hamptons winery Wölffer Estate Vineyard and Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest teamed up to host "Summer Harvest: Grilling with Roman Meets Half Baked Harvest" on July 24. Hosted at the Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, the dinner, which was hosted by Gerard and Wölffer's winemaker and partner, Roman Roth, featured local produce and a farm-to-table menu paired with Wölffer wines including the newly released Summer in a Bottle.

CURIO Summer Residency

CURIO has brought its luxury shopping experience from Miami Beach back to Bridgehampton this summer. From now until Oct. 1, customers can browse brands, including Jil Sander, Marni, Isabel Marant, Dolce & Gabbana, and more. CURIO’s expanded residency spans 3,000 square feet indoors and 5,000 square feet outdoors.

CeraVe’s Match Made in Montauk

Skincare giant CeraVe kicked off the summer season with an overnight beach trip at Gurney’s Montauk Resort. The brand enlisted CNC Agency (previously Coffee ‘n Clothes) to curate the itinerary for the trip—dubbed Match Made in Montauk—which took place in early June. CeraVe tapped TikTok influencer and dating guru Niko Emanuilidis (known on social media as “The Daddy Academy”) to host a waterfront dinner.

Gurney’s played host to a CeraVe Farmers Market throughout the event—where guests were invited to grab a tote and stock up on beach essentials. There were also Stoney Clover Lane travel pouches and a custom embroidery station courtesy of Klein Designs on site to craft a memorable keepsake.
