As the recently appointed creative director of the online flower delivery company UrbanStems, New York-based event designer Lewis Miller launched a floral line that’s available nationwide through the company’s website. The Flower Flash Collection (starting at $45) features limited-edition arrangements inspired by his larger-than-life pop-up flower installations. UrbanStems also donates a portion of the proceeds from the Flower Flash bouquets to ProjectArt, an organization that empowers youth through after-school arts education.

In 2018, volunteer employees helped Javits Center’s sustainability staff harvest more than 2,000 ounces of the sweet stuff called Jacob’s Honey, 10 times the amount of the initial harvest in 2017. A local bee expert works with Javits Center staff to maintain the bee hives, which doubled in size over the past year. Although the product is not available for purchase, the convention center distributes Jacob’s Honey to customers and visitors and incorporates it into menu items such as honey-infused salad dressing and honey-infused iced tea. Tours of the green roof and the hives are also available.

A portable ice luge created by ice-carving studio Okamoto Studio, the Fun Luge is a smaller version of the giant branded ones often found at corporate events. More than 50 designs are available for occasions such as birthdays, New Year’s Eve, bachelorette parties, and more. Each Fun Luge ($220) measures 24 inches high, 15 inches wide, and 15 inches deep, and comes with a battery-powered LED light with eight different settings. The luge is packaged in a sturdy insulated box, weighing about 30 pounds. The lifespan is between four to six hours, depending on exposure to elements like direct sunlight, heat, touch, alcohol, and airflow. Customers can pick up at Okamoto Studio in Long Island City or have it delivered within the five boroughs for a delivery fee of $100.
